Sonja Williams, MS, LPC Intern, ASOTP

Sonja Williams, MS, ASOTP, LPC Intern Supervised by Sherell Hebert MA, LPC-S

I am an Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) Intern and an Affiliate Sex Offender Treatment Provider. I graduated from Prairie View A&M University in December 2003 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology. I received my Masters of Science Degree in Human Science from Prairie View A&M University in May 2012.

My professional experience includes group and individual therapy with state and local agencies, and the public education system. My previous work experience has afforded me the opportunity to work with children, adolescents, and adults who have experienced depression, anxiety, physical and sexual abuse, sexual offending, substance abuse, anger management, parenting skills, adolescent issues, and grief and loss.

I possess a strong commitment to individual, and family empowerment. Although I have a tendency to pull from different therapeutic modalities, I depend heavily on CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) and Solution Focused Therapy to help strengthen, motivate, and encourage all of my clients and their families in their search to reach and surpass their immediate and long-term goals.

If you’re interested in receiving assistance in establishing and reaching your personal milestones, I look forward to working with you.
