Life can be hard and maintaining your mental health can be even harder. With the stresses of everyday life and the world on your shoulders, it can be difficult to go through it all alone. I am here to help. I work with adolescents and adults who are having difficulty navigating this thing we call life. I believe in a collaborative counseling relationship where you and I work together on whatever has you stuck. I like to empower clients so that they are better equipped to deal with the struggle. I work primarily from a cognitive behavioral perspective, but I pull techniques and approaches from different theoretical orientations. I feel that it is important to take a creative approach to counseling and tailor sessions to whatever you as a client made need.
My professional experience includes working with those experiencing depression, anxiety, PTSD, and complex trauma. I also have a background in working with multicultural counseling. Prior to pursuing licensure as a counselor, I worked in schools as a support for at-risk youth.
I received my masters counseling from the University of North Texas and my bachelors in psychology from Baylor University.
My ultimate goal is to help you live your best life. I would consider it a pleasure to be of service to you.
