I am a Professional Counselor Licensed Intern and Texas Certified Educator.  Currently, I am being supervised by the innovative counseling leader, Sherell Hebert, M.A., LPC-S.  I proudly served in the U.S. Navy for 22 years. During my military career I gained a wealth of knowledge working with sailors and their families suffering from addictions, depression, trauma, and other life challenges. My military experience coupled with 9 years of service in the public education system has exposed me to the devastating struggles the family unit faces. Therefore, my passion is working with individuals and their families to restore and strengthen this vital network.

My preferred counseling approaches are Cognitive-Behavioral Theory (CBT) and Solution-Focused Based Therapy (SFBT).  Both approaches focus on solutions to empower individuals to improve their quality of life.  The human mind is extremely complex.  Therefore, an eclectic approach is often needed.  CBT and SFBT are approaches that are ideal for integrating with other approaches as needed. My goal is to work with clients to develop a plan of action to restore hope, power, and sound mind.

My degrees include a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Education from Wayland Baptist University, Master of Arts in Special Education from Phoenix University, Masters of Arts in Human Services Counseling (Marriage and Family) from Liberty University, and Educational Specialist Degree in Teaching and Learning from Liberty University.

I look forward to working with you to develop an individualized therapeutic plan.
